The Colosseum Open Quiz Fest, 2008, which is being organised to commemorate the 10th year of the cultural quiz column THE COLOSSEUM of The Assam Tribune, will be held at the Pragjyoti ITA Cultural Complex Guwahati on Sunday, October 19, 2008. The event is organised by the Social Action Network, Guwahati. The theme of this quiz is culture. The definition of culture for this quiz fest includes subjects like music, dance, fashion, designing, movies, art, sculpture, books, literature, a little bit of history, the culture of different Northeastern tribes and culture in different parts of the world. Two-member teams belonging to any age-group/work-group can participate in this quiz. A written preliminary round will be held amongst the teams to find out the best six teams for the grand finale. In the same event, the winners of the past ten years will also be awarded with certificates and mementos. During the event, we are planning to felicitate Prof. Dilip Kumar Baruah and it is good news for all of us that Prof. Baruah will conduct the quiz fest along with the other quiz masters – Neelotpal Deka and Sailen Baishya, the quiz columnists of The Assam Tribune.
