KOHIMA, Sept 25 - The Muslim community of Nagaland today celebrated Idd-uz-Zuha, the festival of sacrifice, with traditional gaiety and devotion.
Nagaland Governor PB Acharya, while extending warm greetings to the Muslim community on the occasion, hoped that the festival is celebrated in true spirit irrespective of religion and in an atmosphere of peace by exchanging feelings of fraternity, trust and goodwill among all.
In the State capital thousands of Muslims converged at Khuochiezie Kohima local under the aegis of the Kohima Masjid Committee, to offer Namaz.
The commercial hub of the State – Dimapur also witnessed a large gathering of the community people offering Namaz at Iddgah Prayer Ground. – PTI
