Anti-Bangladeshi rally staged at Diphu

 DIPHU, Sept 24 – A massive rally was taken out by various students’ organizations of different communities and social organizations today at Diphu demanding expelling of Bangladesh nationals from Assam as well as Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC).

 It needs to be mentioned here that the rallyists rocked the Diphu town by shouting anti-Bangladeshi slogans. The procession, taken out from KASA Stadium, was attended by thousands of students and members of KSA, Dimasa Students’ Union, All Bodo Students’ Union, Karbi Students’ Youth Council, Dimasa Sahitya Sabha, Kuki Students’ Association, Tiwa Students’ Association, Karbi Lame Amei, Greater Diphu Musalman Samaj, etc.

Later, a memorandum was submitted to the Chief Minister through the KAAC authority, demanding deportation of Bangladeshi nationals. The joint delegation alleged that many suspected Bangladeshi nationals exist in different places of the district. They demanded of the government to deport the suspected Bangladeshi nationals immediately.
