Arunachal reports 135 new COVID-19 cases
 ITANAGAR, Sept 21 - Arunachal Pradesh on Sunday recorded 135 new COVID-19 cases, taking its tally to 7,385.

 On the contrary, 129 patients were discharged on the day following their recovery from the disease, raising the number of recovered cases to 5,408.

The State presently has 1,964 active cases, while 13 people have already died of the infection, according to a bulletin issued by the State Directorate of Health Services here.

Of the new positive cases, Itanagar Capital Complex accounted for the maximum number of 69 cases, followed by West Kameng (18) and West Siang (14).

Nine cases were reported from Papum Pare, six from Longding, and three each from Leparada, East Kameng, Lower Siang and Pakke-Kessang. Changlang and Tirap detected two cases each, while one case each came from Tawang, Lower Dibang Valley and Kurung Kumey.

With the addition of 69 new cases, the caseload of Itanagar Capital Complex, which continued to be the worst affected by the virus, rose to 2,486, which included 779 active and 1,703 discharged cases and four deaths.

Itanagar was followed by Changlang with 663 cases, including 130 active cases, 531 recoveries and two casualties, and Papumpare with 514 infections, including 204 active cases, 309 discharges and one fatality.

Among the new cases, 114 were reported to be asymptomatic and 21 symptomatic, as per the bulletin. Of the discharged cases, Itanagar Capital Complex saw off 45 cured patients.
