Nagaland Police bt Green Valley

 MANGALDAI, Sept 21 - Nagaland Police made into the semifinals of the Amba Medhi football tournament defeating Green Valley 3-2. In the third quarterfinal played here today, Nagaland Police went ahead in the very 2nd minute through Ahizo. In the 17th minute, Alfrid made it 2-0 for Nagaland.

Lagging behind, Green Valley started playing attacking football and Nigerian striker Gerge Prince netted one in the 29th minute. In the 44th minute, Saku scored one more for Nagaland Police to increase the lead to 3-1.

In the second half, for rough play, referee Hiren Barman showed red cards to Gerge Prince of Green Valley and Adibu of Nagaland Police. In the dying moments of the match, a suicide goal from L Lapsa of Nagaland Police finally made the result 3-2 in favour of Nagaland Police.

Today’s match: SSB, Darjeeling vs Assam Police Blues.
