|Mizoram issues new unlock guidelines|
AIZAWL, Sept 20 - As the extended partial lockdown will end tonight, the Mizoram government has issued fresh unlock guidelines.
The new guidelines are similar to ones issued on August 31 with certain minor modifications.
The order said the government has decided to ease restrictions on some economic activities without compromising with the precautionary measures.
Night curfew will be clamped in all district headquarters, including Aizawl from 8.30 pm to 4.30 am, it said.
Mizoram was under partial lockdown from September 11 to 17, which was later extended until September 20, due to a surge in local transmission.
The order said that all commercial activities in the State will function normally.
Apart from maintaining the safety protocols, all shops will also have to keep detailed record of their customers, the order said.
Inter-State border will be opened at only three points – Vairengte and Bairabi on the Mizoram- Assam border and Kanhmun on the State’s border with Tripura – for vehicles carrying both goods and passengers.
Though Lengpui Airport will remain open, landing of commercial passenger flights will be regulated by the General Administration Department (Civil Aviation Wing) in consultation with the airlines depending on the assessment of passenger traffic.
Among others, educational institutions and religious congregations will remain prohibited.
