Correspondent
MORIGAON, Sept 19 – It will be an all Guwahati final in the 43rd Motiram Bora Football Championship. Green Valley Sports Club will lock horns with Food Corporation of India (FCI) Sports Club in the summit clash slated for Saturday.

In the second semifinal played at the Khirod Baruah Stadium here today, Green Valley Sports Club edged past Mohun Bagan Academy of Kolkata 2-1.

It was a keenly contested encounter as players of both the teams showed ample individual skills and team tactics.

It was however the Guwahati team which initiated more moves in the first session and went 2-0 ahead at the break. Captain Micheal Lucky put his team ahead in the 8th minute off a well combined move.

The Green Valley skipper made it 2-0 in the 40th minute capitalising on a goal mouth melee.

In the second session, the Kolkata boys made a comeback bid with a series of planned moves but found the Green Valley defenders impenetrable. However, they managed to reduce the margin in the 84th minute converting a spot kick. Following a foul made by a Green Valley defender, Bagan Academy earned a penalty and H Piyabung Singh made no mistake in shooting home from the spot.
