Doomdooma tense after group clashes

 DOOMDOOMA, Sept 14 - Section 144 (CrPC) has been clamped in Doomdooma circle as tension prevails following two separate group clashes since last night, which left at least six persons injured.

The first incident took place late last night over Ganesh Chaturthi celebration at Dr Rajendra Prasad Sharani of Doomdooma town. Police controlled the situation by resorting to lathi charge.

Following the clash last night, almost all the traders of Doomdooma town today kept their shutters down.

In the other incident that took place at Burra Hapjan near here this morning, two groups clashed over an objectionable comment posted on the Facebook by a youth belong to a particular religion against a god of the other religious group.

Several people were injured in the ensuing clash and police resorted to blank fire and lathi charge to bring the situation under control.

Additional forces were deployed in vulnerable areas of Doomdooma circle to maintain law-and-order situation.
