GUWAHATI, Sept 14 – City Police (Traffic) would effect diversion and restrictions in view of the ‘Integration Chain Rally’ at TC Point rotary and procession (from Latasil field to T.C. Point) organised by the Asom Jatiyatabadi Yuba Chatra Parishad (AJYCP) on September 15.A press statement issued by SP (Traffic) Bibekananda Das stated that as soon as the procession comes out of Latasil field, all vehicles coming from Panbazar via MG Road towards Chandmari and Ulubari shall be regulated at Chief Justice Residence Point and allowed to proceed via MG Road, BC Road, MC Road and Guwahati Club.
Further, vehicles coming from Chandmari side shall be regulated at Guwahati club point and allowed to move via MC Road and FC Road.
The city buses moving from Bharalumukh to Paltanbazar shall also be regulated at Meghdoot Bhawan point and Cotton Collegiate School point and allowed to move via ARB. Road towards GNB Road and Panbazar road overbridge.
“Once the procession reaches Tayabullah Road, all vehicles coming from GS Road and BK Kakati Road shall be regulated at Ulubari and diverted towards Paltanbazar. To prevent congestion at Paltan Bazar and Panbazar, city buses shall be regulated and diverted via AT Road towards Bharalumukh,” the official statement stated.
