BJP confident of coming to power in BTC

 UDALGURI, Sept 11 - Even as the State Election Commission is yet to declare the date of the BTC elections, parties like the BJP, BPF, UPPL, Congress and Gana Suraksha Party have started hectic political campaigning in every nook and corner.

 In two political campaigns at Bandarguri and Khowrang in Udalguri district – two Gorkha populated villages under 38 Bhairabkunda constituency – the BJP expressed full confidence of coming to power in the BTC region.

Prem Tamang, former president of the All Assam Gorkha Students’ Union (AAGSU), and Karan Chetry, the two state executive members of the BJP, dwelt on various pro-poor schemes of the Union and State governments and appealed to the voters to cast their votes thinking about the development in the forthcoming BTC elections.

Birdao Basumatary, the BJP candidate of the constituency, said that all the developments in the BTC region have been carried on by the BJP-led government in the Centre till date.
