Molestation case accused get bail

 GUWAHATI, Sept 11 – All accused persons in the GS Road molestation case, except main accused Amarjyoti Kalita, have been granted bail by the Kamrup CJM Court.

Kalita’s bail application is pending before the Gauhati High Court and it is coming up for consideration on Thursday. It may be stated here that Gaurab Jyoti Neog, a journalist with a local TV channel, has already been granted bail by the Gauhati High Court on August 13.

The Special Investigation Team of the Assam Police, following completion of investigation, submitted a charge-sheet before the Kamrup CJM Court against 15 persons, namely, Amarjyoti Kalita, Gaurab Jyoti Neog, Nabajyoti Baruah, Jitumoni Deka, Nabajit Deka, Dipak Deb, Puspendra Das, Dhanraj Basfor, Rubul Ali, Hafizuddin, Sikandar Basfor, Diganta Basumatary, Debo Das, Rupkanta Kalita and Ghanashyam Malik under Sections 143, 341, 294 , 323 and 354 of IPC.
