Baksa gets seven open stages, parks

 MUSHALPUR, Sept 9 - Under the Chief Minister’s dream project, seven open stages and parks, named after Dr Bhupen Hazarika, were inaugurated on Tuesday in seven development blocks in Baksa district to mark the 89th birth anniversary of the music maestro.

The open stages were inaugurated in places like Dhamdhama, Nagrijuli, Goreswar, Barama, Gobardhana, Tamulpur and Baksa development blocks, while parks are yet to be completed in some blocks.

Ansumwi Khungur Boro, Executive Member of BTC, inaugurated the open stage at Nikashi Bazaar under Baksa development block. Mahadananda Hazarika, Deputy Commissioner of Baksa, garlanded the portrait of Dr Hazarika.
