Donations for flood victims

 GUWAHATI, Aug 31 - State Bank of India has donated Rs 1 crore to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund in aid of victims of the floods which ravaged Assam recently.

State Bank of India’s chief general manager (NE Circle) Sunil Kumar Tandon along with general manager (NW-I) Sudhir Kumar Sharma handed over a cheque of Rs 1 crore to Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal on Friday at his office.

Donation by Assam Association of North America: Meanwhile, Nripen Barua from New Jersey representing Assam Association of North America, an institution for the people having origin or interest in Assam, met Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal on August 27 and handed over a contribution of Rs 2 lakh to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund as support towards the flood victims.
