Draft voters’ lists of 4 LACs of Kamrup dist
 NORTH GUWAHATI, Oct 29 – The draft revised voters’ lists of four legislative Assembly constituencies of Kamrup District (Rural), namely 48 No Boko, 49 No Chaygaon, 50 No Palasbari and 55 No Hajo have been published on October 19 last, according to a source from headquarters Amingaon of the district.

Persons who want to lodge complaints in respect of their names in the voters’ lists published would be allowed to lodge complaints within December 19 next. After settlement of the complaints as per law, the revised voters’ lists would be published on January 23 of the next year (2013).

As per information received by this correspondents, the district administration has appointed one election officer in each booth numbering 816 of the four LACs. Of the four constituencies, one designated officer for the 386 places of the four constituencies has been appointed.

Besides, the administration has appointed required booth offices, supervisors for the four constituencies, and 54 gazetted officers as assistant registers for the four constituencies of the rural district. It may be noted that the voters’ lists published on October 19 last contains the photos of the voters enlisted in the list published.

However, those who have not submitted their respective photos have been requested by the concerning to submit the photos authority so that the revised and finalised voters’ list to be published on January 23 contains their photos as required.
