Manipur COVID-19 toll reaches 156

 IMPHAL, Oct 28 - Manipur has reported six more deaths due to COVID-19 in the last 24 hours. The cumulative number of virus deaths in the State has now touched 156.

 Six persons aged 43 years (a male from Thoubal), 75 years (a male from Churachandpur), 37 years (a male from Thoubal), 60 years (a female from Imphal West), 57 years (a male from Tengnoupal) and 63 years (a male from Churachandpur) expired at the RIMS, home isolation, Raj Medicity and SDH, Moreh, stated an official press release today.

Meanwhile, in the past 24 hours, 198 civilians and seven Central Armed Police Forces personnel have been confirmed positive. The new COVID-19 cases were confirmed at 23 testing facilities in the State.

The positive cases from the general population belong to 12 districts. All are local residents without any significant travel history, the release added.

On the other hand, 212 persons were discharged from 20 COVID care facilities during the same 24-hour period.
