|IOCís free ambulance service at rly station| GUWAHATI, Oct 23 - As part of its CSR initiative, Indian Oil has provided a free ambulance service at the Guwahati Railway Station to help underprivileged people travel from the station to any hospital located within the city. According to a press release, the facility was inaugurated today on the railway station premises jointly by G Ramesh, Chief General Manager & State Head (North East), Indian Oil Corporation Ltd., Guwahati; Hari Singh, Additional Divisional Railway Manager (ADRM), NF Railway, Guwahati and Diganta Bujarbaruah, Secretary, Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS), Assam Branch.

The ambulance service will be maintained and operated by Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS) to carry patients coming from small towns/villages to hospitals in Guwahati city. A designated parking place for the ambulance has been provided by Guwahati Railway Station authorities in front of the station free of charge.
Indian Oil will also launch a free ambulance service at the Agartala Railway Station on similar lines very soon for the people of Tripura.
