Belguri observes Bible Day

 KALAIGAON, Oct 22 – Bodo junior youth Bible Day central level ceremony concluded on October 3 with a four-day programme at Belguri near Kabirali.

The programme started on September 30 with the singing of Bible songs followed by a massive prayer in which religious messages was read out by Rev Prohar Daimari. The programme was organised by Bodo Baptist Convention (BBC) Youth Department and supervised by three distinguished Baptist leaders of the district namely– Cornelious Basumatary, Rev Pronoy Daimari and Rev Prohar Daimari. More than 800 youths participated in the programme on October 1. The main theme of the programme was “You are special” with three sub topics like Kingdom of God, Sanctity in Youth Life and Obediance.

Binoy Daimari, secretary of Bodo Baptist Convention Youth Department, told this correspondent at Belguri that their main idea was to teach younger generation worth living with Gods, abide by god living holiness, obeying our parents and elders of community and administration of the country. He also told that BBC Youth Department (Udalguri) had taken up a few steps to maintain peace and discipline in the society and to encourage children and youths to become a good citizen. The programme concluded on October 3 with grand cultural items.
