OIL honours Tridib, Olympian Ankita

 GUWAHATI, Oct 19 – Oil India Limited (OIL) has honoured two of its employees Tridib Duvarah and Ankita Das for their contribution in sports. At a well attended function, with TK Duarah, General Manager (Pipeline Services) in the chair held at Narengi today. HC Borah Chief Manager (Pipeline Administration) welcomed the executives and IOWU members.

Tridib was honoured for successfully managing OIL’s women team which won the gold at the PSPB 2012 table tennis championship and being selected as manager of India TT team for world championship for five consecutive years.

On the otherhand Ankita Das represented India at the London Olympics table tennis. She was the only women paddler from India. Ankita was awarded Rs 1 lakh on the occasion, informed Amarjyoti Saikia, Sr Manager (ER) OIL in a release.
