AFA confirms int’l soccer friendly in city

 GUWAHATI, Oct 18 – Assam Football Association (AFA) secretary Ankur Dutta informed that the All India Football Federation (AIFF) has allotted an international friendly football match to Assam where India will play against Yemen.

Dutta informed that, today AIFF through a letter confirmed that India will play against Yemen in Guwahati on November 14 and the match will be organised at Sarusajai main stadium.

Dutta further revealed that he met Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi and Sports Minister Ajit Singh to apprise about the international friendly and the State Government has assured all possible help for hosting the match including developing the ground. Earlier, AFA had hosted the first international friendly last year between India and Malaysia.
