GUWAHATI, Oct 17 - Police last night arrested a fraudster who collected huge sums of money from gullible unemployed youths by promising them jobs.
The accused has been identified as Rajib Parashar.
Police Commissioner MP Gupta said there was sufficient evidence to prove that Parashar took money from people by promising them jobs.
“He promised jobs in various government departments, particularly the Railways. Based on complaints, we registered a case at the crime branch,” the police official said. He was produced in a court today and taken into 3 days’ police custody.
