Tripura rebel MLAs meet BJP president Nadda
Correspondent
AGARTALA, Oct 14 - In a major development, four Tripura BJP MLAs headed by State vice president Ram Prasad Paul, met the party’s national president, JP Nadda, in New Delhi on Tuesday, sources said here.

The other three MLAs who attended the meeting, are Parimal Debbarma, the party’s Dhalai district president, Sushanta Chowdhury and Asish Saha.

“We had a meeting with the BJP president at his office yesterday that lasted for one hour. All the party legislators briefed Nadda on the happenings in the State. We believe the central leadership will take appropriate steps to boost the party in Tripura,” said an MLA, who was present in the meeting, over telephone today.

It remains to be seen how things unfold in the State after the arrival of the dissident party MLAs. Tripura BJP president Dr Manik Saha has already made it clear that the State unit of the saffron party would take action against those MLAs who went to New Delhi to meet the central leadership.
