Abhijit sets another record

 JORHAT, Oct 14 By performing multiple events continuously since morning till the afternoon, Abhijit Baruah could successfully set another record.

At 7.40 am today he started running from the Jorhat Stadium towards Sivasagar on NH-37 and after reaching Bhatiyapar he returned to Jorhat through the same route riding a bicycle and reached Jorhat Stadium at about 3.30 pm. Then he performed push-ups and sit-ups for 20 times each in the stadium. Just after finishing the events he ran 200 metres with a weight of 40 kg on the back and ran 200 metres barefoot in the stadium. During the entire course he did not stop even for a single moment. The India Book of Records has included his feat as a new kind of record with multiple events.

Abhijit after his performance told this correspondent that he was supposed to complete the whole events within 12 hours. But he remained successful to perform all those much before time.

He also said that the evidence including video of his performances will be sent to the authorities of Asia Book of Records, Limca Book of Records and Guinness World Records for screening to provide recognition to his endeavour.
