GUWAHATI, Oct 11 - The United Federation of Doctors for Early Diagnosis and Prevention of Diseases in India (UFODI) organised a free health camp at Sadia recently.
Both dental and medical camps were conducted on the occasion, while free medicines were also given to the needy patients, stated a press release.
The camp was organised with the help and assistance of Sadia MLA Bolin Chetia who was present on the occasion.
An awareness programme under UFODI’s Health Orientation Programme Execution (HOPE) was also organised mainly with the target of educating the people living in rural areas on various common to critical health hazards and their early management. UFODI Chairman Rathangapani Chattopadhyay gave an hour-long lecture on the maintenance of daily health and hygiene.
Doctors from the Assam Medical College Dr Jawaharlal Barupal, Dr Iftikar Hussain and Dr Rimy Dey conducted the medical screening, while the dental screening was done by the UFODI Chairman himself. Around 500 people were screened and medicated during the health camp.
