 GUWAHATI, Oct 10 - The 3rd RGS Guwahati India Open International Rating Chess Tournament is underway in full swing at the state of the art sports complex of Royal Global School Guwahati.

 After the completion of six rounds top seed Grand Master Vasquez Schroeder Rodrigo of Chile leads the tournament with 6 points. He is followed by a group of 6 players Ė Grand Master Sriram Jha, Koustav Chatterjee, International Master Sayantan Das, International Master Ramnathan Balasubramaniam, International Master Dhulipalla Bala Chandra Prasad, Rajib Dhar and Panta Sumit of Nepal on 5.5 points each.

However with still four more rounds to go, the championship is open to all the leading players and it will be interesting to see if the Chilean Grandmaster can live up to his top billing and claim the title.
