NLFT militant surrenders
Correspondent
AGARTALA, Oct 10 - A hardcore NLFT cadre, along with his two aides, surrendered before the BSF authority at Telimuara in Khowai district, official sources said today. The NLFT cadre was identified as Trivijoy Tripura (26), and his aides are Amrika Tripura (29) and Kharjumani Tripura (30) – all residents of Dhalai district.

The Commandant of BSF 71 Bn, Promodh P Nautiyal, welcomed the trio to the mainstream. The trio, who fled their hideout in Bangladesh, handed over three daggers, one wire cutter and some cash at the time of surrender.

Trivijoy had joined the outfit around six years back. “He is an active member of the banned outfit and an inmate of the NLFT hideout at Segun Bagan, Bangladesh,” a senior BSF official said. While Amrika joined the outfit last year along with 19 youths, Karjumoni got in touch with the outfit in 2014.
