2 held in Golaghat murder case

 JORABAT, Oct 9 - Acting on a tip-off, Jorabat police has arrested two persons in connection with a murder in Golaghat on Monday.

The body of one Nazim Hussain (45), was found by the National Highway-39 from Nambar Forest Reserve, 18 kilometres from Bogijan Police Station around 7.30 on Monday morning. Hussain was a resident of Royal Road in Jorhat.

The arrested men identified as Md Ajmal Khan (28), of Thoubal, Manipur and Ram Kisan Joshi (61), of Jorhat, were arrested and the truck in which they were travelling was also seized from Jorabat area. They were believed to be Nazim’s trade partners in a scrap business.

A case has been registered at Bogijan Police Station bearing case no. 77/18, under sections 302, 201, 34 IPC. Police suspect that Nazim’s body was dumped in the Nambar Forest Reserve after he was killed at some other place.
