|Lack of education responsible for Muslim’s plight|
BARPETA, Oct 5 – Lack of proper education is the main cause of the backwardness of the Muslim community. This was the view expressed by a few experts in a seminar at Gomafulbari in Barpeta district recently.
The seminar ,‘Causes of underdevelopment of Muslims and ways of remedy’ was organised by Samuhik Gyan Vikash Kendra, Gomafulbari at Gomafulbari Senior Madrassa campus. It was conducted by Ahmad Hussain Khan, former principal of Madhya Kamrup College.
Addressing the seminar, Dr Ataur Rahman, retired professor of the Department of Physics, Gauhati University said that only proper education can save the community from doom.
