Revised fares from tomorrow

 GUWAHATI, Oct 4 – The All Assam Motor Transport Association has announced that it would implement the new fare-structure for all the commercial vehicles from October 6.

Meanwhile, it has also appealed to the common people to keep change (coins) with them to pay fares, especially while boarding the short-distance buses or other commercial vehicles.

The new city bus fare for first three kilometres would be Rs 3.50, from three to five kilometres the passengers would have to pay Rs 5, from five to nine kilometres the buses would charge Rs 7 and from nine to 13 kilometres the city bus fare would be Rs 9.50.

Similarly, the trekkers would charge Rs 6 for the first four kilometres and subsequently, Re 1 would be charged additionally for per kilometre of distance.
