GUWAHATI, Oct 2 - The management and employees of the Assam Tribune Group of Publications today paid homage to Radhika Mohan Bhagawati, Editor of Dainik Asam, who had passed away on Saturday.
Speaking on the occasion, Prafulla Govinda Baruah, Editor of The Assam Tribune and managing director of the Tribune Group, said Bhagawati’s demise was a great loss not only for the Tribune family, but also for the entire journalist fraternity of the State. “We suddenly lost a bright gem. Late Bhagawati’s enthusiasm for work was exceptional,” he said.
Assam Tribune Employees’ Union (ATEU) general secretary Dugdharam Kalita termed late Bhagawati a dedicated journalist who had contributed immensely in the field of journalism in the State.
Executive Editor of Dainik Asam Munin Bayan, in his speech, said that late Bhagawati wrote for the welfare of society.
Asam Bani Editor Dilip Chandan and ATEU president Sivaprasad Deka also spoke highly of late Bhagawati.
Among others, Executive Editor of The Assam Tribune PJ Baruah was also present at the condolence meeting that was presided over by ATEU president Deka.
