Tezpur-based scribe dies

 TEZPUR, Nov 28 - Tezpur-based video journalist Apurba Jyoti Patangia, died at the GNRC, Guwahati today after he met with a road accident. He was mowed down by an oil tanker around 9:30 am near Kaliabor area on NH-37 (A) while he was coming back home after collecting a report. He was rushed to the GNRC in a critical condition, where he was declared dead.

Late Patangia, a resident of Bam Parbatia area under Lalmati Police outpost here lived with his mother and an elder sister.

The 29-year-old youth worked in many electronic channels and, at present, he was working in News 18. He was a hardworking youth and was loved by all here for his amiable nature.

The media fraternity here has mourned his untimely death.
