TMPK takes out torch rally at Silapathar
 SILAPATHAR, Nov 28 - The Takam Mising Porin Kebang (All Mising Students’ Union) took out a torch rally through the heart of Silapathar town at 5 this evening in support of its various demands. The TMPK has taken up a series of agitational programmes against the government for its negligent attitude towards the Mising tribe, tribal communities and indigenous communities of Assam. The participants of the rally shouted slogans against the State BJP government and Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal. The rally was taken out from Silapathar Donyi Polo Complex to Silapathar Police Station.

 The TMPK has demanded suitable rehabilitation and aid for flood-affected people, immediate stop to eviction drive in Amchang Wildlife Sanctuary and removal of illegal settlers and industries from tribal belts and blocks.
