Dolaguri TE to get SBI ATM service from today
Staff Reporter
GUWAHATI, Nov 27 - The Dolaguri Tea Estate at Letekujan of Golaghat will become the first tea garden of Assam to have an ATM installed by the State Bank of India (SBI) tomorrow.

The inaugural ceremony, to be held at the initiative of the SBI Golaghat branch, will be attended by State Labour Minister Pallav Lochan Das, Chief General Manager of the SBI NE Circle PVSLN Murty, the TE owner Rakhi Dutta Saikia, and others.

The initiative has been taken following Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal’s recent appeal to the banks to help tea labourers in opening bank accounts.

The ATM will also have full-fledged model account opening facilities, which will help the labourers withdraw and deposit money inside the garden itself, with both biometric machine and cash@POS system being available.
