GUWAHATI, Nov 25 - City-based Narayana Superspeciality will organize a free cancer screening camp on November 26.
Senior consultants from Kolkata including Dr Suman Mallik, Radiation Oncologist, and Dr Suvro Ganguly, Surgical Oncologist, will be present at the special screening and consultation camp for all types of cancers.
The camp will be held from 10 am to 3 pm at the hospital’s premises here.
The consultation will cover all aspects of cancer in clinical oncology and under onco-surgery, and consultation for gastro-intestinal surgery will be addressed.
A multidisciplinary team comprising a group of healthcare professionals with the required skills shall do the initial testing and plan the treatment for any patient diagnosed with cancer.
“More than cancer treatment, awareness and early detection are important. Specialized diagnosis and treatment facilities are the need of the hour. Planned outreach programmes like these would open up avenues for us to get a more in-depth understanding on how cancer can be better combated in this region,” said Dr Mallik.
