652 BPL families to get houses at Morigaon

 MORIGAON, Nov 24 - As many as 652 families living below poverty line in Morigaon municipal areas will get dwelling houses under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY, Urban).

To distribute the allotment letters of the dwelling houses to the beneficiaries, a public meeting was held at Morigaon District Library on November 23. The meeting was presided over by Archana Bordoloi, chairperson, Morigaon Municipal Board. Distributing the allotment letters to the beneficiaries, Rama Kanta Deori, MLA, Morigaon said that for the poor urban people of Morigaon the PMAY (Urban) will provide dwelling houses to the homeless. He appealed to the concerned officials to make the scheme a grand success.

Speaking on the occasion, Hemen Das, Deputy Commissioner, Morigaon said that urban poor of the State will be benefited through the PMAY (urban).

Deepa Das, District Development Commissioner, Morigaon, Rana Bora, ADC, Ananta Gogoi, ADC and Palash Ahom, Executive Officer Morigaon Municipal Board also spoke on the occasion.
