Manipur Cherry Blossom Fest begins tomorrow

 IMPHAL, Nov 24 - Manipur is all set to organise the 1st Manipur Cherry Blossom Festival cum 3rd Flower Festival at Mao, a hill station, about 110 km from the State capital in Senapati district from November 26-28.

Chief Minister N Biren Singh will inaugurate the festival on Sunday, according to the organisers.

“This year more events such as cycle expedition and trekking will be organised,” said Kaikho Movuo, a member of the organising body.

The festival is being organised by Mao Flower Growers’ Association in collaboration with Institute of Bioresources and Sustainable Development (IBSD), a National Institute of Department of Biotechnology, Government of India.
