Dibrugarh MP adopts Langkashi village

 TINSUKIA, Nov 23 – Though the Dibrugarh MP Rameswar Teli has adopted Langkashi village under Langkashi Gaon Panchayat in Tinsukia district to be developed as a model village as per the direction of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, he has nevertheless resolved to develop all the villages of his constituency as model villages.

Addressing a meeting held at the Panikhowa Gaon Panchayat under Hapjan Development Block in Tinsukia district on Saturday, the Bharatiya Janata Party ( BJP) MP asked, “why one or two villages, if the people and the people’s representatives of the respective Gaon Panchayats sincerely works together for the development of their villages, then within five years all the villages can be transformed into model villages as per the Prime Minister’s direction. The MP appealed to the people’s representatives of the Gaon Panchayats to chalk out plans for the development of each and every village and that he was ready to assist in all possible ways.

At the same time, he also warned that if any project was not feasible for a particular area, then it should not be adopted. He stated that he would personally contact people of all the 123 Gaon Panchayats, of which he had already visited 75 Gaon Panchayats and taken stock of the problems which would be sorted out at the earliest.
