Sports reporter
GUWAHATI, Nov 23 – Shillong’s Langsning Football Club outshined Oil India Limited (OIL) Sports Club 5-1 in a quarterfinal league match of the 60th Bharat Ratna Lokapriya Bordoloi Trophy Football Tournament. In the completely one-sided affair at the Nehru Stadium here today, Langsning were 5-0 ahead till the final moments, but in the injury time Jayanta Basumatary managed to reduce the margin.

Victor Sadap opened the sluice gate in the 21st minute and just after two minutes P Vanlal nundanga made it 2-0. The hepless OIL defence was exploited completely as at the fag end of the first session PK Ning Leithing netted two snap goals to give his team 4-0 lead at the break.

After changing over the sides the Shillong boys were seen in a relaxed mood but maintained a compact defence. Joel Sunday netted the fifth goal in the 51st minute and after that they shared the ball among themselves with short and accurate passes in the middle third of the pitch.
