BJP threatens stir over land swap deal
GUWAHATI, Nov 22 – Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Assam Pradesh president Sarbananda Sonowal on Thursday warned of launching a mass movement if the geographical boundary of the State changes on account of the land swap agreement with Bangladesh.

Sonowal said that every inch of land in Assam belonged to the indigenous communities and no illegal Bangladeshis would be allowed to stay in Assam.

“We have been pressing upon the government for an agreement with Bangladesh to take back the illegal migrants from Assam,” said Sonowal insisting that the government honour the Assam Accord.
