CM urges govt employees to keep working dedicatedly

 GUWAHATI, Nov 21 - Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal today chaired a meeting of Sadou Asom Karmachari Parishad at the conference hall of the Chief Minister’s block at Janata Bhawan and discussed several demands of the employees of the State government.

 Addressing in the meeting, Sonowal said that the employees of the government are working very assiduously for implementation of government schemes. He said that the government is also taking steps to fulfil their relevant demands. But at the same time, he urged the employees to keep working with dedication to expedite the growth process in the state. In the meeting, Sonowal also asked the Finance Department to settle the issue of retirement gratuity.

Speaking on the occasion, Finance Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma gave brief details of the various steps that the government has been taking to dispose of the employees’ claims.

The meeting also elaborately discussed schemes like employees’ health insurance, new pension scheme, teachers’ earned leave, travelling allowance etc., and highlighted the steps that government has already taken to meet the demands. Chief Advisor of the Sadou Asom Karmachari Parishad (SAKP) Basab Kalita who was present at the meeting also submitted a list of various demands of the SAKP.
