Khandu meets Governor

 ITANAGAR, Nov 20 - Developmental issues of the frontier state came up for discussion when Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu called on the Governor Brig (Dr) BD Mishra (retd) at Raj Bhavan here on Tuesday.

During the one-to-one, the Governor apprised the Chief Minister about the discussion he had with the Commissioner of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan Santosh Kumar Mall regarding finalization of opening of seven Kendriya Vidyalayas in the State, for which the necessary procedural activities are now underway.

The Governor also discussed about the Arunachali Armed Forces Officers’ Groups of ‘Pay back to Society’ programme.

Under the programme, officers of Arunachal Pradesh in Indian Army, Navy and Air Force will visit schools and colleges in different parts of the State from November 25 to December 2 next and deliver motivational talks to the students. It aims to motivate the youth of the State to join Armed Forces.
