Addressing a press conference here today, office-bearers of the organisation said that they would also organise a similar peace rally in Guwahati soon. Speaking at the press conference, national convenor of the organisation RK Khrimey urged the Government of India to take appropriate steps to place the issues of Tibetan refugees on the global forum. He also appealed to the government to honour the Dalai Lama with Bharat Ratna.
Criticising China, Khrimey said that the recent clashes along the international border pointed to the sinister designs of the Chinese regime.
This evening members of the organisation also organised a programme at the War Memorial here to pay tribute to Indian soldiers who sacrificed their lives during the recent clashes on the Indo-China border.
