GUWAHATI, Nov 17 - The ninth edition of the International Kids Film Festival by Chinh Early Education Web Channel will be hosted by NPS International School, Guwahati, at its campus from November 24 to 26, in which children from Italy, Sweden, Russia, Brazil, South Africa and India will take part.
The three-day programme of workshops, film screening and networking events, will offer critical insights and explore the future of children’s media.
The programme is being organised in association with national awardees and film and cultural activist couple Meenakshi and Vinay Rai, founders of Chinh Early Education Web Channel.
At this festival, it is the children who judge films from three categories of films – pre-school (children between 4 and 6 years), early education (children between 7 and 12 years) and animation category (children between 13 and 17 years).
As a jury, the students will be exposed to the art of media appreciation by viewing, evaluating and critically examining children’s media content entered in the festival from across the world. It will also be a wonderful opportunity to reinforce their skills of critical thinking, creativity, communication and decision making, stated a press release.
Winner of the best ICT project in education, Chinh Early Education Web Channel has already trained more than 15,000 jurors in the past eight years from schools across India. The theme of the NPS International Kids Film Festival is ‘Hope’.
