Assam bandh evokes mixed response
Correspondent
UDALGURI, Nov 17 – The Assam bandh called by the Non-Bodo Coordination Committee had a mixed response in the entire Udalguri district. Vehicles remained off the roads while a few private vehicles were seen plying in some pocket areas. Most of the business establishments, too, downed their shutters while government offices and educational institutions wore a deserted look except the private institutions.

The bandh was called by the organisation in protest against the recent outbreak of violence in Kokrajhar district.
