GUWAHATI, Nov 16 - Marwari Hospitals on Friday evening launched a gastro-liver surgical clinic in collaboration with Sri Ganga Ram Hospital, New Delhi.
Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal lauded the efforts of Marwari Hospitals in providing affordable and quality health care to the masses over a long period of time and said that with the tie-up with Sri Ganga Ram Hospital, its facilities would get a further boost.
Sarat Kumar Jain, president Marwari Hospitals in his welcome speech gave an account of the services of Marwari Hospitals, a unit of charitable organisation Shree Marwari Databya Aushdhalaya, in offering affordable and quality health care services to society, especially to the economically backward people, for the last 103 years.
He said the new gastro-liver clinic would provide succour to patients from the North East who are compelled to incur high expenses in such treatment by travelling outside the region.
Dr Saumitra Rawat from Sri Ganga Ram Hospital thanked the Marwari Hospitals authorities for the joint venture and expressed the hope that it would pave the way for more collaborative endeavours between the two in the days ahead.
