Assam-Hyderabad Ranji tie from today
SPORTS REPORTER
GUWAHATI, Nov 16 – Assam will host its Plate Division fourday Ranji Trophy match with Hyderabad at Nehru Stadium here from tomorrow. Assam has three points in their kitty from two outings while Hyderabad will also play their third match with equal points.

While Assam managed to draw both their previous matches against Jammu & Kashmir and Goa, Hyderabad suffered a humiliating one innings and sixrun defeat at the hands of Maharashtra in their last match.

However, the visiting team has some good batsmen like Akshath Reddy, Dawka Ravi Teza and Bavanka Sandeep who performed credibly against Jharkhand in their opening match.

On the other hand, Assam has to depend mainly on inform batsman Dhiraj Jadhav as far as batting is concerned. But inclusion of R Satish will definitely bolster Assam’s batting lineup. Young Pallab Das, who was a prolific run getter in the recently concluded U-22 CK Nayudu Trophy matches, is likely to make his Ranji debut. In order to remain in contention of being promoted to Elite Group, Assam has to win this match.
