Karbi Anglong, Cachar bag sepak takraw titles

 GUWAHATI, Nov 11 – Karbi Anglong men and Cachar girls clinched the titles in the 12th Senior Inter District Sepak Takraw Championship. In the finals played at Diphu today, Karbi Anglong men trounced Cachar 2-0 while North Lakhimpur became the third team.

In the women’s category, Cachar defeated Karbi Anglong by an identical margin and Sivasagar walked away with the third position. In the prize distribution ceremony, Ashok Teron, Tuliram Ranghang, EMs Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council, Dr Sarsing Terang, vice-president of KA Sports Association, Ratul Terang, general secretary KA Sports Association, Bishnu Ram Nunisa, secretary Assam Sepak Takraw Association were present as guests along with a host of sports organisers.
