Sai Baba’s 94th birthday celebration begins

 GUWAHATI, Nov 9 - The 94th birthday of Sri Sathya Sai Baba is being celebrated at Sri Sathya Sai Sadhana Nilayam located in Jurpukhuri area here.

According to a press release, the programme will begin with Akhanda Bhajan from 6 pm of Saturday to 6 pm of Sunday. It will be followed by Sai Gyanna Yagna (94 bhajans) from 1 pm on November 17. A spiritual congregation titled ‘Unity of Faiths’ will be held on November 19 where renowned persons from different religious faiths will deliberate on various aspects of their respective religious beliefs for maintenance of a peaceful and tranquil society composing of members of various religions.

November 23 being the birthday of Sri Sathya Sai Baba, there will be a daylong programme on that day at Sadhana Nilayam. It will begin at 4.30 am with Nagar Sankirtan. This will be followed by different programmes at the Guwahati Railway Station, Kasturba Gandhi Ashram, Blind School and Sadhana Nilayam.

There will also be an exhibition of products crafted by members of Shakti Swaroopini Mohila Chora self help group and felicitation of freedom fighters, the release added.
