|Exhibition on architecture from today|
GUWAHATI, Nov 8 - A three-day exhibition featuring works of around 25 architects will be held from November 9 to 11 at the Assam State Museum as a part of SiX18 – Guwahati’s Biennial Architectural Festival. The exhibition will remain open from 2 pm to 8 pm, a press release issued here today said.
Other events to be held on the Museum premises would include a discussion on Guwahati city, a series of presentations by eminent and upcoming architects from all over the country, an interactive session with students and teachers of various city-based schools, a consultancy fair and a panel discussion on the role of the architectural practices in the future.
SiX is a group of architects and artists working towards generating public awareness about architecture. It strives for developing a more sustainable habitat and an improved sense of space and aesthetics in the towns and cities. SiX aims at celebrating architecture through exhibition of architectural works, installations, public art, panel discussions, presentations and workshops, all in the public domain.
People from all walks of life are requested to enthusiastically participate in the festival, the press release added.
