MLAs, addl CS, addl DGP visit Dhubri border

 DHUBRI, Nov 5 - An all-party delegation from Dispur along with Additional Chief Secretary and Additional DGP of the State inspected the Indo-Bangla border along the district today.

MLAs Siddhartha Bhattacharya, Prasanta Phukan, Atul Bora, Kushal Deori, Devananda Hazarika of BJP and Rekibuddin Ahmed of Congress along with Additional DGP AK Sinha Kashyap and Additional Chief Secretary MGVK Bhanu visited the border areas along Dhubri District this morning.

Sources said that the team visited border areas at Tistapara, Tekamari and Barmanpara BOPs. The team also had a discussion on the border issue of the district and assured that they will seal the Indo-Bangla border in the fastest way possible. Sources said that the team will report to the Chief Minister of Assam about the current situation along the border in both land and riverine areas.

Meanwhile, officials of the DC office said that the Additional Chief Secretary MGVK Bhanu visited all the branches of the office and inspected their functioning thoroughly on Friday. It has been informed that MGVK Bhanu gave the staff of the office suggestions for improvement in their works. He also held a meeting with the officials of the DC office and discussed various issues of the administration.
