DIMAPUR, Nov 5 - Police Women Cell attached to East Police Station, Dimapur has now become the first full-fledged women police station in Dimapur district. The Police Station was inaugurated on Friday by Nagaland Home Minister Y Patton.
The Women Police Station will function with an all-women team headed by an officer-incharge in the rank of Inspector.
In his inaugural address, Home Minister Patton said a full-fledged women police station in Dimapur was a long felt need for the citizens as the lone Women Cell, that was attached with East Police Station, was functioning for the entire district dealing with ever increasing cases of crime against women and children.
